The boy Tulugaq (meaning raven) is tired of going to school and fantasizing that he is flying like a real raven. He meets the Inniesis Spirit, asking him to help save nature from pollution, global warming and its consequences.
He is sent on an expedition to the polar bear, the eagle, the whale and other animals, and from each of them he receives a gift he will convey to the mother of the sea. As in the famous Greenlandic legend of the mother of the sea, it is her who will be relieved when the people have acted unintentionally and wasted with the resources.
The girl Asiaq, as Tulugaq is in love with, as well as an annoying rival also plays a certain role in the dramatic and humorous tale that takes place in two parallel worlds at the same time.
Sila is a modern and untraditional story for 8-12 year olds, which connects Greenlandic mythology and the inuites' traditional nature view with today's climate problems.
